David Mcall, DO, A native of Waco, Dr. McCall returns to Central Texas after completing general surgery residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. After graduating from Waco Christian, he attended the Baylor University where he received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He then obtained his medical degree from AT Still University in Arizona.

He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Dr. McCall and his wife, Mary Kay, have six children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, international medical mission trips, traveling, reading the Bible, and outdoor activities.

Karen Ni-Jones, M.D., is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree from University of Texas Austin. In 2001, she attended medical school at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed her general surgery residency training in Phoenix, Arizona, after which she partnered with fellow surgeons to provide services in Anchorage, Alaska, at the Alaska Native Medical Center. Cara Govednik, M.D., is a board certified general surgeon with a special focus in breast and endocrine surgery. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. After medical school, she accepted a general surgery residency at Texas A&M/Scott & White in Temple. She then furthered her training with a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery in order to specialize in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery. Nurse Practitioner Robin Sanders is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from the Associate Degree Nursing Program at McLennan Community College in 2001. In 2008, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, College of Nursing, then continued on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2013. NP Sanders has over 13 years nursing experience in critical care Surgical ICU, education, and advanced wound care. She has worked at Hillcrest since 1998 and joined Hillcrest General Surgery in 2014.
